The Carrier That Allows You to Choose How to Use It
Chariot child carriers provide outdoor enthusiasts who are also parents or caregivers with a choice of how to maintain or embark on an active lifestyle, while simultaneously introducing young children to the world around them. Unlike other carriers that assume a want and need for a standard stroller, or a limiting specific variation of it, Chariot child carriers let the user assemble a carrier that can be customized at any time to accommodate several popular outdoor related pursuits. This is managed through an unique modular approach to child transportation in which the feature-rich, two-wheeled chassis which makes up the unit is combined with one of a variety of conversion kits (sold separately). The two-child Cougar 2 is compatible with all the current conversion kits available from Chariot for its adventure carriers.
Easy Kit Attachments with the VersaWing Bracket
With the VersaWing 2.0 bracket system, Chariot ensures that the customizable functionality of the Cougar 2 child carrier is always fast and uncomplicated for all users, no matter how many conversion kits are swapped in and out. Each Cougar 2 carrier contains a set of two VersaWing 2.0 brackets, integrated along the front lower edge of its chassis. Unlike other child carriers that commonly use differing types of anchoring points for accessory mounting, all conversion kits used with the Cougar 2 utilize one, or both of the VersaWing structures. This minimizes potential confusion when it comes to assembly. Attachments slide horizontally into brackets -- vertically in the case of stroller wheels -- and lock into place with a spring-loaded push button mechanism. As an additional safety measure, a security pin tethered near the end on the bracket slips through the bracket and the accessory to ensure a reliable hold. In addition, Click n' Store functionality allows the attachments of the jogging and bicycle trailer conversion kits to be carried when they are not in use. Stroller wheels not in use can also be stored in the VersaWing brackets in an inverted position. This conveniently ensures that the Cougar 2's full functionality is always available, regardless of which kit accessory is currently installed in the VersaWing, or a family's plan for the day.

Full-featured Chassis
In addition to the Chariot Cougar 2's conversion kit functionality, it is also loaded with features designed for convenience, comfort, and the safety of passengers and users. The main passenger cockpit of the carrier ships fully assembled, and folded in a flat position. To use it, raise both upright rear tube sections of the frame, locking them into place using the auto-lock disc mechanisms integrated into the opposite edges of the frame at the left and right. To compact the chassis the process is simply reversed. The two 20" wheels snap in and out of the chassis' integrated axle with a similar push-button mechanism at the outer center of their hubs. The padded HeightRight handlebar inserts smoothly into the chassis. It can be flipped to accommodate users of differing heights, and locks into place with a push-button mechanism. A foot operated parking brake is located at the center of the long cross axle at the back of the carrier. The cockpit of the Cougar 2 provides ample room for two babies or small children. It contains a padded seat back, and a removable, hand-washable padded seat bottom. Children are secured within the cockpit with a padded harness system. The external mid frame of the chassis, visible at its lower front, allows for more leg room and a lower step in height, and the suspension of the chassis is adjustable. Once inside, a child's attention and comfort are further ensured by clear backed side portals and closable side air vents for improved/added air flow. The carrier also has a 2-in-1, mesh/polyurethane front cover that can be rolled up and secured with a silent QuickClip front clasp (non-Velcro), as well as a front sun shade for UV and sun protection on bright days. Finally, the Cougar 2 provides plenty of storage space with a rear foldaway rear storage bag, a large mesh pocket, and a smaller key/wallet foam pocket.

Chariot Carriers Inc. warrants that the frames found in their products are free of defects for the lifetime of the product. The fabric and hitches used are warranted for one year following the date of delivery to the original purchaser. This warranty does not include the wheels and tires. This warranty is only valid in the country in which the product was purchased. This warranty applies only to the original owner and is not transferable.
